  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to Washington county; requiring plat approval 
  1.3             before building permits in certain cases. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [PLAT APPROVAL BEFORE BUILDING PERMITS.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law to the 
  1.7   contrary, in the county of Washington each subdivision plat or 
  1.8   registered land survey plat which is contiguous with any 
  1.9   existing or proposed county road must be approved by the 
  1.10  Washington county board of commissioners before building permits 
  1.11  are issued by the municipalities in which the subdivision or 
  1.12  land survey is located. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [LOCAL APPROVAL REQUIRED.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective the day after the chief clerical 
  1.15  officer of Washington county complies with Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.16  section 645.021, subdivision 3.
