  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the environment; providing penalties for 
  1.3             misrepresentations regarding environmental matters; 
  1.4             amending Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 115.075. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 115.075, is 
  1.7   amended to read: 
  1.8      115.075 [INFORMATION AND MONITORING.] 
  1.9      A person may not: 
  1.10     (1) make a false material statement, representation, or 
  1.11  certification in; omit material information from; or alter, 
  1.12  conceal, or fail to file or maintain a notice, application, 
  1.13  record, report, plan, manifest, or other document required under 
  1.14  section sections 103F.701 or to 103F.761, this chapter or, 
  1.15  chapter 115A, 115B, 115C, 115E, or 116, or any rules, standards, 
  1.16  permits, orders, requests for response actions, requests for 
  1.17  information, stipulation or other agreements, schedules of 
  1.18  compliance, or variances adopted, issued, or entered under 
  1.19  sections 103F.701 to 103F.761, this chapter, or chapter 115A, 
  1.20  115B, 115C, 115E, or 116; or 
  1.21     (2) falsify, tamper with, render inaccurate, or fail to 
  1.22  install a monitoring device or method required to be maintained 
  1.23  or followed for the purpose of compliance with sections 103F.701 
  1.24  to 103F.761 or, this chapter or, chapter 115A, 115B, 115C, 
  1.25  115E, or 116, or any rules, standards, permits, orders, requests 
  2.1   for response actions, stipulation or other agreements, schedules 
  2.2   of compliance, or variances adopted, issued, or entered under 
  2.3   sections 103F.701 to 103F.761, this chapter, or chapter 115A, 
  2.4   115B, 115C, 115E, or 116.
