A bill for an act
 relating to education; removing wind energy production tax from county
apportionment deduction for school districts; amending Minnesota Statutes 2008,
section 126C.21, subdivision 3.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 126C.21, subdivision 3, is amended to read:


Subd. 3.

County apportionment deduction.

Each year the amount of money
apportioned to a district for that year pursuant to sections section 127A.34, subdivision 2,
and 272.029, subdivision 6, must be deducted from the general education aid earned by
that district for the same year or from aid earned from other state sources.

EFFECTIVE DATE.

This section is effective for revenue for fiscal year 2010
and later.
