  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to drainage; allowing a county to charge an 
  1.3             outlet fee for use of a drainage system by another 
  1.4             county; amending Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 
  1.5             103E.401, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 103E.401, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 5a.  [EXISTING OUTLET INTO DRAINAGE SYSTEM IN ANOTHER 
  1.10  COUNTY.] A drainage authority may charge an outlet fee for use 
  1.11  of a drainage system as an outlet for an existing drainage 
  1.12  system located in another county.  The fee must be set and paid 
  1.13  as provided in subdivisions 4 and 6. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
