A bill for an act
relating to workers' compensation; requiring the commissioner of labor and
industry to treat thoracic, rib, chest, and crush injuries like a broken spine for
purposes of disability schedules; amending Minnesota Statutes 2004, section
176.105, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 176.105, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin Rules; thoracic, rib, chest, and crush injuries. new text end

new text begin Any rules adopted by
the commissioner under this section must treat thoracic, rib, chest, and crush injuries in
the same manner as a broken spine.
