A bill for an act
 relating to plumbing code requirements; allowing the installation of waterless
urinals; amending Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 326B.43, by adding a
subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 326B.43, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin Notwithstanding any other law or rule to the contrary,
until the Plumbing Board adopts rules specifying the installation criteria and material
standards for waterless urinals, waterless urinals that meet the installation and material
standards of the Uniform Plumbing Code or the International Plumbing Code are approved
for installation in Minnesota.
