relating to economic development; appropriating money for the Minnesota Early
Learning Foundation.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

FOUNDATION.

$15,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2007 to the
commissioner of employment and economic development for the Minnesota Early
Learning Foundation under Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.175, paragraph (b). The
appropriation must be used to award grants, in consultation with the commissioner of
education, to early childhood development program providers for the purposes described
in Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.175, paragraph (a).

This appropriation is available to the Minnesota Early Learning Foundation, on a
quarterly basis, to the extent matched by $1 of nonstate money for each $1 of state money.
