  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; providing for a black box 
  1.3             theater on the Mankato State University campus. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [MANKATO STATE UNIVERSITY THEATER.] 
  1.6      The Mankato State University foundation may build a black 
  1.7   box theater on the Mankato State University campus at a site 
  1.8   approved by the board of trustees of the Minnesota state 
  1.9   colleges and universities.  Prior to the beginning of 
  1.10  construction, the board must approve the design and the 
  1.11  foundation must agree to donate the theater to the state.  Title 
  1.12  to the building shall pass to the state immediately upon 
  1.13  donation. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
