A bill for an act
relating to local government; authorizing Rockwood Township in Hubbard
County to exercise the power of eminent domain for acquisition of certain trust
fund land.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

The Rockwood Township Board
of Supervisors may exercise the right of eminent domain in the manner provided by
Minnesota Statutes, chapter 117, reserving to the state all minerals and mineral rights,
to acquire the following trust fund lands:

(1) that part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, Section 16,
Township 145 North, Range 35 West, Hubbard County, described as follows:

Starting from the county monument in the southwest corner of the Southwest
Quarter, Section 16, Township 145 North, Range 34 West, run 475 feet North along the
west line of said Southwest Quarter, then 400 feet East, then 475 feet South to the south
line of said Southwest Quarter, then 400 feet West back to starting, minus the South 165
feet of the West 264 feet, containing 3.36 acres; and

(2) the South 504 feet of the West 605 feet of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 24, Township 145 North, Range 35 West, Hubbard County, Minnesota.
Less and except the South 165 feet of the West 264 feet, thereof. Subject to easements
for County State-Aid Highway 9 and County State-Aid Highway 10 right-of-ways. Also,
subject to any and all easements of record.

Rockwood Township may acquire the land described
in subdivision 1 to make improvements to an existing park and other township facilities.
