  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to taxation; property; limiting reassessment 
  1.3             to four-year intervals; amending Minnesota Statutes 
  1.4             1994, section 273.08. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 273.08, is 
  1.7   amended to read: 
  1.8      273.08 [ASSESSOR'S DUTIES.] 
  1.9      The assessor shall actually view, and determine the market 
  1.10  value of each tract or lot of real property listed for taxation, 
  1.11  including the value of all improvements and structures thereon, 
  1.12  at maximum intervals of four years and shall enter the value 
  1.13  opposite each description. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective for assessments in 1997 and 
  1.16  thereafter.
