A bill for an act
 relating to state government; requiring the Legislative Coordinating Commission
to study issues relating to men; amending Minnesota Statutes 2004, section
3.303, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 3.303, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin The commission shall study and report to the legislature on
matters relating to the status of men in Minnesota, including:

new text begin (1) laws and practices that may evidence cultural biases against men;
new text end

new text begin (2) issues relating to parenting and child custody that have particular impact on men;
new text end

new text begin (3) health issues unique to men; and
new text end

new text begin (4) methods to encourage personal growth in men.
