  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to St. Louis county; requiring the county to 
  1.3             sell its county-owned nursing homes. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [ST. LOUIS COUNTY NURSING HOMES; SALE.] 
  1.6      Before July 1, 1999, St. Louis county shall sell the Chris 
  1.7   Jensen Nursing Home and the Nopeming Nursing Home.  The city of 
  1.8   Duluth may purchase the homes if it makes a suitable offer by 
  1.9   December 31, 1998.  If the county is not satisfied with the 
  1.10  city's offer, it shall sell the homes to another bidder after 
  1.11  December 31, 1998. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     This act takes effect the day after final enactment.
