A bill for an act
relating to taxation; solid waste management; amending allocation of revenues
from solid waste management tax; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section
297H.13, subdivision 2.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 297H.13, subdivision 2, is amended to read:


Subd. 2.

Allocation of revenues.

(a) deleted text begin $33,760,000, or 70 percent, whichever is greater,deleted text end

percent in fiscal years 2024 and 2025, and 100 percent thereafter

(b) The remainder new text begin in fiscal years 2022 to 2025 new text end must be deposited into the general fund.

new text begin (c) Beginning in fiscal year 2022 and continuing each year thereafter, the difference
between the amount deposited in the environmental fund under paragraph (a) and the amount
that would have been deposited under paragraph (a) before being amended by this act must
be expended on activities listed in section 115A.557, subdivision 2, paragraph (a), clauses
(1) to (7) and (9) to (11).
