  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to community development; providing a grant 
  1.3             for the Neighborhood Development Center, Inc.; 
  1.4             appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT 
  1.7   CENTER, INC. GRANT.] 
  1.8      $90,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal 
  1.9   year 2000 to the department of trade and economic development 
  1.10  for the purpose of making a grant to the Neighborhood 
  1.11  Development Center, Inc.  The center shall use the grant for the 
  1.12  purpose of expanding and improving its neighborhood and 
  1.13  ethnic-based entrepreneur training, lending, and support 
  1.14  programs in the poorest communities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. 
  1.15  This appropriation is added to the department's budget base.
