A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; appropriating money for
rural transit services in southern Minnesota;
proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes,
chapter 174.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin $240,000 is annually appropriated from the transit
assistance fund to the commissioner of transportation for
disbursement via the department's Office of Transit to the
Region Nine Development Commission for the coordination of rural
transit services in the counties of Blue Earth, Brown,
Faribault, Le Sueur, Martin, Nicollet, Sibley, Waseca, and
Watonwan. This appropriation must fund one system coordinator
position and two dispatch coordinators to serve this nine-county
area.
