  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money to the 
  1.3             director of the office of strategic and long-range 
  1.4             planning for a grant to the northern counties land use 
  1.5             coordinating board. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $250,000 is appropriated for the fiscal year ending June 
  1.9   30, 2002, from the general fund to the director of the office of 
  1.10  strategic and long-range planning for a grant to the northern 
  1.11  counties land use coordinating board to initiate a pilot land 
  1.12  use project for northern Minnesota in cooperation with 
  1.13  appropriate federal, state, local, and private entities.  The 
  1.14  appropriation is available when the director determines that a 
  1.15  commitment to the project has been made of an equal amount from 
  1.16  nonstate funds.
