  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money for 
  1.3             water access development. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATIONS.] 
  1.6      $875,000 in fiscal year 1998 and $125,000 in fiscal year 
  1.7   1999 are appropriated from the water recreation account in the 
  1.8   natural resources fund to the commissioner of natural resources 
  1.9   for the water access community initiative program including 
  1.10  $400,000 for development of boat access sites, $350,000 for 
  1.11  shore fishing improvements, and $25,000 in the first year for 
  1.12  ice fishing access sites.  Any unencumbered balance at the end 
  1.13  of the first year does not cancel and is available for the 
  1.14  second year.
