  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; reinstating the services 
  1.3             for children with special health care needs program; 
  1.4             appropriating money; proposing coding for new law in 
  1.5             Minnesota Statutes, chapter 145. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [145.8895] [CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL HEALTH CARE 
  1.8   NEEDS.] 
  1.9      When cost-effective, the commissioner may use money 
  1.10  received for the services for children with special health care 
  1.11  needs program to purchase health care coverage for eligible 
  1.12  children.  
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.14     $1,500,000 is appropriated for fiscal year 2005 from the 
  1.15  general fund to the commissioner of health for the children with 
  1.16  special health care needs program.  This appropriation shall 
  1.17  become part of base level funding for the biennium beginning 
  1.18  July 1, 2005.
