A bill for an act
relating to legislative enactments; making miscellaneous technical corrections to
laws and statutes; correcting obsolete text and references; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2022, sections 168B.09, subdivision 2; 169.223, subdivision 4; 169.64,
subdivision 9.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 168B.09, subdivision 2, is amended to read:
Units of government may adopt ordinances and regulations to
control the matter subject deleted text begin in accordance withdeleted text end new text begin tonew text end sections 168B.01 to 168B.101, so long as
the ordinances and regulations are not less stringent than the provisions of sections 168B.01
to 168B.101 or the rules of the agency.
Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 169.223, subdivision 4, is amended to read:
The provisions of section 169.974, subdivision 5,
paragraph (i), apply to motorized bicycles that are equipped with headlights. deleted text begin After June 1,
1987,deleted text end A new motorized bicycle sold or offered for sale in Minnesota must be equipped with
a headlight.
Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 169.64, subdivision 9, is amended to read:
A solid waste
vehicle or recycling vehicle may be equipped with a single amber warning lamp that meets
the most current deleted text begin Society of Automotive Engineersdeleted text end new text begin SAE Internationalnew text end standard for authorized
maintenance and service vehicles, Class 2. The lamp may be operated only when the
collection vehicle is in the process of collecting solid waste or recycling and is either:
(1) stopped at an establishment where solid waste or recycling is to be collected; or
(2) traveling at a speed that is at least ten miles per hour below the posted speed limit
and moving between establishments where solid waste or recycling is to be collected.
