  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; authorizing state 
  1.3             bonds for radio communications system infrastructure; 
  1.4             appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; RADIO COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM.] 
  1.7      $13,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to 
  1.8   the commissioner of transportation to design, acquire, 
  1.9   construct, furnish, and equip its radio communications system 
  1.10  infrastructure, coordinating with the other state and local 
  1.11  units of government and extending it into the Rochester and St. 
  1.12  Cloud districts of the state patrol district radio system, 
  1.13  subject to the requirements of Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.14  16A.695. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.16     To provide the money appropriated by section 1 from the 
  1.17  bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance shall sell and 
  1.18  issue bonds of the state in an amount up to $13,000,000 in the 
  1.19  manner, on the terms, and with the effect prescribed by 
  1.20  Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the 
  1.21  Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7. 
  1.22     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.23     Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final 
  1.24  enactment.
