  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing private sales of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited lands in Lake county. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; LAKE 
  1.6   COUNTY.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding the public sale provisions of Minnesota 
  1.8   Statutes, chapter 282, Lake county may sell by private sale the 
  1.9   tax-forfeited land that is described in paragraph (c), under the 
  1.10  remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282. 
  1.11     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.12  attorney general for a consideration of $1 and relinquishment of 
  1.13  a four-acre parcel of land that Lake county has used for road 
  1.14  relocation. 
  1.15     (c) The land to be sold is located in Lake county and is 
  1.16  described as:  the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of the 
  1.17  Southwest Quarter, Section 17, Township 55 North, Range 11 West. 
  1.18     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  1.19  management interests would best be served if the land was 
  1.20  returned to private ownership. 
  1.21     Sec. 2.  [PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; LAKE COUNTY.] 
  1.22     (a) Notwithstanding the public sale provisions of Minnesota 
  1.23  Statutes, chapter 282, Lake county may sell by private sale the 
  1.24  tax-forfeited land that is described in paragraph (c), under the 
  2.1   remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282. 
  2.2      (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  2.3   attorney general. 
  2.4      (c) The land to be sold is located in Lake county and is 
  2.5   described as:  the easterly 200 feet of the Northeast Quarter of 
  2.6   the Northeast Quarter, Section 32, Township 57 North, Range 11 
  2.7   West. 
  2.8      (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  2.9   management interests would best be served if the land was sold 
  2.10  to adjoining landowners to resolve boundary issues.
