A bill for an act
 relating to retirement; Minneapolis Employees Retirement Fund; defining
covered salary to include certain supplemental plan contributions; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 422A.01, subdivision 13a.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 422A.01, subdivision 13a, is amended to
read:


Subd. 13a.

Covered salary.

new text begin (a) new text end "Salary" is subject to the limitations of section
356.611.

new text begin (b) "Salary" also includes the contributions to a supplemental retirement plan under
section 356.24, subdivision 1, clause (8), (9), or (10), for an employee who is covered by a
supplemental retirement plan which requires that all plan contributions be made by the
person's employer from mandatory withholdings from the employee's wages.
