  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing public sale of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land that borders public water 
  1.4             in Becker county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; BECKER COUNTY.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.8   282.018, subdivision 1, Becker county may sell the tax-forfeited 
  1.9   land bordering public water that is described in paragraph (c), 
  1.10  under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 
  1.11  282. 
  1.12     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.13  attorney general. 
  1.14     (c) The land to be conveyed is located in Becker county and 
  1.15  is described as: 
  1.16     (1) That part of Government Lot 5 of Section 14, Township 
  1.17  138 North, Range 43 West, described as follows: 
  1.18     Commencing at a cast iron monument which designates the 
  1.19  northwest corner of said Government Lot 5; thence South 04 
  1.20  degrees 17 minutes 38 seconds East 1786.20 feet on an assumed 
  1.21  bearing along the west line of said Section 14 to the point of 
  1.22  beginning; thence continuing South 04 degrees 17 minutes 38 
  1.23  seconds East 220.00 feet along the west line of said Section 14; 
  1.24  thence South 68 degrees 32 minutes 38 seconds East 100 feet, 
  1.25  more or less, to the water's edge of Big Cormorant Lake; thence 
  2.1   northerly along the water's edge of said Big Cormorant Lake to 
  2.2   the intersection with a line which bears South 68 degrees 32 
  2.3   minutes 38 seconds East from the point of beginning; thence 
  2.4   North 68 degrees 32 minutes 38 seconds West 25 feet, more or 
  2.5   less, to an iron monument; thence continuing North 68 degrees 32 
  2.6   minutes 38 seconds West 61.91 feet to an iron monument; thence 
  2.7   continuing North 68 degrees 32 minutes 38 seconds West 86.02 
  2.8   feet to an iron monument; thence continuing North 68 degrees 32 
  2.9   minutes 38 seconds West 8.78 feet to the point of beginning; 
  2.10     (2) A Twelve Hundredths (0.12) acre lakeshore tract of land 
  2.11  in Government Lot One of Section 34, Township 138 North, Range 
  2.12  43 West described as follows:  Beginning at a point that bears 
  2.13  South 50 degrees 7 minutes West 536.5 feet and South 62 degrees 
  2.14  36 minutes West 102 feet from the Northeast corner (Meander 
  2.15  Corner #45) of the said Government Lot One; thence running South 
  2.16  62 degrees 36 minutes West 51.0 feet; thence North 37 degrees 58 
  2.17  minutes West 106.4 feet to an iron stake on the shore line of 
  2.18  Lake Ida; thence North 62 degrees 36 minutes East 50.0 feet 
  2.19  along the shore line of Lake Ida; thence South 38 degrees 30 
  2.20  minutes East 106.6 feet to the point of beginning and there 
  2.21  terminating; 
  2.22     (3) Government Lot 5, Section 34, Township 139 North, Range 
  2.23  43 West; 
  2.24     (4) Lot 16 and Lot 17, Block 4, Bijou Heights, Section 29 
  2.25  and 30, Township 139 North, Range 43 West; 
  2.26     (5) That part of Government Lot 6 of Section 6, Township 
  2.27  138 North, Range 42 West described as follows:  Commencing at an 
  2.28  iron monument which designates the south quarter corner of said 
  2.29  Section 6; thence South 88 degrees 37 minutes 43 seconds West 
  2.30  237.00 feet on an assumed bearing along the south line of said 
  2.31  Section 6; thence North 01 degree 36 minutes 59 seconds West 
  2.32  145.37 feet parallel with the north-south quarter line of said 
  2.33  Section 6 to the northerly right of way line of County State Aid 
  2.34  Highway No. 6, said point is the point of beginning:  thence 
  2.35  continuing North 01 degree 36 minutes 59 seconds West parallel 
  2.36  with said north-south quarter line to the intersection with the 
  3.1   southerly line of Outlot C or its easterly extension, said 
  3.2   Outlot C is a part of the plat of SUMMER ISLAND which is on file 
  3.3   and of record in the office of the Recorder of said county; 
  3.4   thence westerly 580 feet, more or less, along the easterly 
  3.5   extension of the southerly line and along the southerly line of 
  3.6   said Outlot C to the southwesterly corner of said Outlot C; 
  3.7   thence southerly along the easterly line of said Outlot C; 
  3.8   thence southerly along the easterly line of a Dedicated Public 
  3.9   Road according to said SUMMER ISLAND to the northerly right of 
  3.10  way line of said County State Aid Highway No. 6, thence easterly 
  3.11  580 feet more or less, along the northerly right of way line of 
  3.12  said County State Aid Highway No. 6 to the point of beginning; 
  3.13     (6) All of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 lying 
  3.14  East of Creek, Section 26, Township 138 North, Range 42 West; 
  3.15     (7) Lot 11, Black Hawk Mountain Beach, Section 6, Township 
  3.16  138 North, Range 42 West; 
  3.17     (8) Lot 26, Block 1, Lakeland Estates, Section 4, Township 
  3.18  138 North, Range 42 West; and 
  3.19     (9) Lot 4 and 5, Palin Beach, Section 30, Township 138 
  3.20  North, Range 42 West. 
  3.21     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  3.22  management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  3.23  returned to private ownership.
