  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the capitol area; directing the capitol 
  1.3             area architectural and planning board and the 
  1.4             Minnesota historical society to cooperate with the 
  1.5             Philippine study group of Minnesota in causing a 
  1.6             corrective plaque to the placed in the state capitol; 
  1.7             appropriating money. 
  1.8   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.9      Section 1.  [CORRECTIVE PLAQUE.] 
  1.10     The capitol area architectural and planning board and the 
  1.11  Minnesota historical society shall cooperate with the Philippine 
  1.12  study group of Minnesota to commission a design for a corrective 
  1.13  plaque, to cause the plaque to be manufactured, and to place it 
  1.14  in the capitol.  The plaque must correct incorrect historical 
  1.15  information presented on the Spanish-American war plaque 
  1.16  currently displayed in the capitol rotunda.  The plaque must be 
  1.17  of a quality similar to the existing Spanish-American war plaque 
  1.18  and must be displayed in the capitol rotunda in a position of 
  1.19  comparable prominence. 
  1.20     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.21     $10,000 is appropriated to the capitol area architectural 
  1.22  and planning board for purposes of section 1.
