  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money to fund the 
  1.3             school lunch program. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $8,940,000 in fiscal year 1998 and $8,940,000 in fiscal 
  1.7   year 1999 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   commissioner of children, families, and learning for the purpose 
  1.9   of operating the school lunch program under Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.10  section 124.646. 
  1.11     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.12     Section 1 is effective July 1, 1997.
