  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to game and fish; modifying provisions 
  1.3             prohibiting hunter, trapper, and angler harassment; 
  1.4             amending Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 97A.037, 
  1.5             subdivision 1. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 97A.037, 
  1.8   subdivision 1, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subdivision 1.  [INTERFERENCE WITH TAKING WILD ANIMALS 
  1.10  PROHIBITED.] A person who has the intent to prevent, or disrupt, 
  1.11  or dissuade the taking of a wild animal or enjoyment of the 
  1.12  out-of-doors may not disturb or interfere with another person 
  1.13  who is lawfully taking a wild animal or preparing to take a wild 
  1.14  animal.  "Preparing to take a wild animal" includes travel, 
  1.15  camping, and other acts that occur on land or water where the 
  1.16  affected person has the right or privilege to take lawfully a 
  1.17  wild animal.
