Relating to health; requiring each pharmaceutical manufacturer, wholesale drug
distributor, medical supply or device manufacturer to file with the commissioner
of health an annual report identifying all payments, honoraria, reimbursement or
other compensation paid to practitioners or sponsors of a medical conference,
professional meeting or other educational program during the proceeding year,
specifying the report format; prohibiting practitioners and drug formulary
committee members from accepting gifts from pharmaceutical (drug) manufacturers
and distributors and medical supply or device manufacturers and distributors;
modifying the definition of gift
