E Enacting the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act adopted by the national
conference of commissioners on uniform state laws; defining certain terms and
the scope, providing for the use of electronic records and signatures in certain
transactions; providing for the legal recognition of electronic records,
signatures and contracts; providing for the delivery or presentation of
information and records in electronic format and for the attribution and effect
of electronic records and signatures; specifying the effect of change or error
in electronic records; providing for the satisfaction of notarization,
acknowledgment or verification and records retention requirements; prohibiting
the exclusion of records from evidence based solely on electronic format;
prescribing certain rules for automated transactions; providing for the time and
place of sending and receipt of electronic records; providing for control of
transferable records, defining transferable record; requiring governmental
agencies to determine the extent of electronic records creation and retention
and of the conversion of written records to electronic records and providing for
the acceptance and distribution of electronic records by the agencies and for
