Modifying the membership of the criminal and juvenile justice information policy
group; establishing a data group to assist the policy group, specifying
membership; specifying certain duties of the policy group relating to criminal
justice technology infrastructure improvements; appropriating money to the
commissioner of public safety for the improvements including the purchase and
distribution of electronic fingerprint capture and photographic identification
technology and additional bandwidth to transfer and access electronic data to
the central database, for grants to government agencies to transfer and access
data from the agencies to the statewide hot file probation and pretrial release
data system, for Ramsey county and the sentencing guidelines commission to
establish a pilot project to use the statewide statute table to insure accurate
and uniform charging on criminal complaints and for transfer to the supreme
court for redevelopment of the court information system to be used by counties
to integrate court information with other criminal justice information (mk)
