metropolitan area freeways or expressways by certain additional types of
intrastate buses upon permitting use of the shoulders by transit buses,
specifying certain operation restrictions and requirements; establishing a
demonstration project authorizing the operation of certain eligible vanpools on
designated bus only shoulders of a certain segment of I-494 on weekdays during
peak travel hours, specifying certain speed restrictions and vehicle lighting
requirements, establishing the demonstration project oversight committee,
specifying membership requirements and duties, requiring a committee report of
findings and recommendations to the legislature by a certain date; repealing the
requirement for the commissioner of administration to approve procurement
contracts entered into by the DOT (mk, ja)
