Requiring and providing for the governor and the metropolitan sports +facilities
commission to attempt to provide for community ownership of the +Minnesota Twins
through transfer of ownership interests by gift or sale to a +community
foundation or nonprofit corporation, requiring the governor and the +commission
to work with a professional baseball franchise and a community +foundation to
develop a plan to offer shares of the franchise to the general +public;
specifying certain requirements relating to the sale of stock in the +team and
certain restrictions relating to ownership percentage and moving the +franchise
outside the state; prohibiting the expenditure of state funds to +generate
revenue or to provide operating support for or defray operating +losses of a
professional baseball franchise (mk)
