eradicate geographic illiteracy; authorizing a statewide collaboration of
kindergarten through grade 12 teachers and geographic faculty at state
post-secondary institutions to apply for the grant, specifying certain
requirements of the grant recipient and the application process; requiring the
commissioner of children, families and learning to award the grant after
consultation with the Minnesota alliance for geographic education and
