Relating to education; eliminating charter school eligibility for +integration
aid; modifying the early childhood family education and total +community
education revenue and levy formulas; eliminating certain commissioner+ of
children, families and learning adult basic education (ABE) programs +audit
requirements and authorizing referenda to fund the programs; +abolishing the
children's trust fund for the prevention of child abuse and +transferring
remaining revenue to the undesignated fund balance of the general +fund;
declaring the Perpich center for arts education as surplus state +property and
requiring the commissioner of administration to sell the property, +exempting
the sale from certain public bodies first offer requirements; +repealing
parenting time centers, violence prevention and certain Indian +education
grants, the family assets for independence, staff development and +minority
teacher initiatives, the requirement for the CFL commissioner to +distribute
certain additional money to head start programs, early childhood +health and
development screening, the teachers of color, first grade +preparedness, school
and fast break to learning breakfast, school readiness, way to grow, +after
school enrichment and youth works programs, alternative facilities +and ECFE
aids, certain community education aid funding provisions, family +services and
community based collaboratives, Indian scholarships, tree growth +replacement
revenue, the swimming pool levy, the Perpich arts education center, +certain
prior appropriations to the commissioner for minorities alternative +teacher
preparation fellowship grants and for airport runway impact pupil +unit aid to
independent school district #280, Richfield and a certain provision +providing
for reading competency in the St. Croix River education district (ja)
