ARTICLE 1 - HEALTH-RELATED LICENSING
BOARDS

Expanding grounds for board of nursing disciplinary action; expanding
grounds for board license refusal or revocation by adding conviction of a
felony-level criminal sexual offense; authorizing qualified dentists to
administer influenza immunizations under certain circumstances; making technical
corrections for the commission on dental accreditation; modifying dental
applicant requirements, waiver of examination, initial license or permit fees,
duplicate license and renewal fees, portfolio audit, and dental assistant and
hygienist restorative procedures authorization; modifying health licensing board
compensation, certain board duties, and health professional program manager
duties; modifying criminal offender exceptions; appropriating money to the
boards of behavioral health and therapy, chiropractic examiners, dentistry,
dietetics and nutrition practice, marriage and family therapy, medical practice,
nursing home administrators, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, podiatric
medicine, psychology, social work, and veterinary medicine for member per diem
payments

ARTICLE 2 - BOARD OF PHARMACY

Defining and redefining certain
terms; modifying requirements for pharmacist participation in immunizations;
changing the powers and duties of the board of pharmacy; providing for
enforcement of violations of cease and desist orders; authorizing certain
disciplinary actions; specifying certain reporting obligations, providing
immunity, requiring licensee or registrant cooperation, and specifying certain
judicial review requirements; modifying licensing requirements for businesses
regulated by the board of pharmacy; clarifying requirements for compounding;
allowing certain educational institutions to purchase legend drugs in limited
circumstances; allowing certain entities to handle drugs in preparation for
emergency use; clarifying the
requirement that drug manufacturers report
certain payments to the board of
pharmacy; adding certain substances to the
schedules for controlled
substances; appropriating money to the board of
pharmacy to implement prescription monitoring program changes and for cease and
desist authority costs
