Prohibiting the board of peace officer standards and training (POST) from
issuing licenses to unlicensed part time peace officers after a certain date,
providing for the continued employment of current part time peace officers and
changing the cap; requiring the board to prepare a free training course for part
time peace officers, specifying certain course content requirements, requiring
successful completion by part time peace officers for license renewal purposes;
requiring part time peace officers to also comply with continuing education
standards required by the board(mk)
