E Authorizing registered, licensed or credentialed physician assistants
responding to disaster situations to render care without physician supervision
or agreement, requiring supervision under the direction of the emergency medical
director according to rules adopted by the emergency medical services regulatory
(EMS) board, requiring a temporary supervisory agreement before rendering care;
exempting supervising physicians from medical responsibility for the care
rendered, disaster services provided by physician assistants to be considered
outside the scope of the relationship between the supervising physician and the
