requirement by school boards or charter school boards of directors; +authorizing
students or teachers to decline participation in recitation; +requiring school
districts or charter schools with student handbooks or school policy +guides to
include a statement relating to the option of choosing not to +participate in
recitation of the pledge, requiring respect for the right to choose; authorizing
local or charter school boards waiving the requirement to+ adopt a district or
school policy relating to reciting the pledge of +allegiance; requiring
districts not waiving the recitation requirement to +instruct students in the
proper etiquette toward, correct display of and respect for +the flag and in
patriotic exercises(ra, ja)
