Relating to economic development; establishing the Minnesota biomedical sciences
research facilities authority, specifying membership and duties; requiring the
authority to establish a biomedical science research facilities funding program
to provide grants to the board of regents of the university of Minnesota for a
percentage of the costs of projects, authorizing the issuance of bonds;
requiring each recipient of state subsidies for bioscience and biotechnology to
provide a certain number of reports to the commissioner of employment and
economic development (DEED) by a certain date annually, requiring the
commissioner to provide a compilation and summary report to the legislature
annually by a certain date
