general provisions and shortening the range reference of the act; recodifying
the "Minnesota Indian Family Preservation Act" and the interstate compact on the
placement of children ARTICLE 2 - DELINQUENCY PROVISIONS Recodifying the
delinquency provisions of the juvenile court act including provisions governing
county home schools, juvenile detention homes, court jurisdiction and venue,
certification of proceedings, extended jurisdiction juvenile prosecutions,
petitions, notices and summonses, investigations, examinations and screenings,
hearing and appeal procedures, records maintenance, protection, access and
release, arrest, custody, release or detention, dispositions and placements,
juvenile traffic and petty offenders, the effect of juvenile court proceedings
and costs of care ARTICLE 3 - CHILD PROTECTION PROVISIONS Recodifying the child
protection provisions of the juvenile court act including provisions governing
jurisdiction, venue, petitions, notices and summonses, procedures for habitual
truants, runaways and offenders and domestic child abuse, investigations,
examinations and screenings, hearing and appeal procedures, records maintenance,
protection, access and release, custody, release or detention, dispositions and
placements, concurrent permanency planning, the termination of parental rights,
guardianship, costs of care and the general welfare of children ARTICLE 4 -
IMPLEMENTATION OF ACT Specifying the effect of changes in the act, changes not
intended to alter the laws relating to juvenile delinquency and child
protection; specifying certain publication and cross reference correction
instructions to the revisor of statutes; repealing certain existing provisions
