A bill for an act
relating to consumer protection; requiring retail establishments to accept cash as
payment; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 325F.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin (a) For purposes of this section, the following terms have
the meanings given.

new text begin (b) "Cash" means the physical currency of the United States, whether paper money or
coins.

new text begin (c) "Retail establishment" means a place of business open to the general public for the
sale of goods or services.

as payment for goods or services.
