A bill for an act
relating to workforce development; appropriating money for a grant to the
Minnesota Transportation Museum.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; MINNESOTA TRANSPORTATION MUSEUM.

new text begin $500,000 in fiscal year 2027 is appropriated from the workforce development fund to
the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the Minnesota
Transportation Museum (MTM) to eliminate financial barriers and expand programming
to introduce economically disadvantaged students to high-demand careers in class I railroads,
welding, blacksmithing, carpentry, and other skilled trades. This is a onetime appropriation
and is available until June 30, 2028.
