relating to education finance; authorizing grants to improve students' digital
technology skills and support digital learning; requiring reports; appropriating
money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin (a) For a grant to a nonprofit organization to expand
opportunities for high school students to develop digital technology skills:

new text begin (b) The grant recipient must use grant money to encourage student participation in a
digital technology skills program, create student fellowships, provide hands-on opportunities,
and develop a digital technology curriculum for its programming that can be shared and
replicated by other programs. Programming may be offered after regular school hours, on
weekends, and during the summer.

new text begin (c) The grant recipient must submit to the commissioner of education an application
including a description of the program's goals and strategies consistent with the
evidence-based grant requirements of Minnesota Statutes, section 127A.20. The grant
recipient must submit a preliminary report on the program's status on January 15, 2026, and
submit a final report consistent with Minnesota Statutes, section 127A.20.

opportunities for students to explore career and vocational options through internships and
