relating to housing; appropriating money for a grant to YWCA St. Paul.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; YWCA ST. PAUL HOUSING PROGRAM.

new text begin $750,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for a grant to YWCA St. Paul to administer the
YWCA St. Paul housing program that offers permanent supportive housing and transitional
housing. Money from the grant must be used to maintain stable housing opportunities;
provide direct financial assistance for move-in costs, transportation, rental support, and
housing transitions; sustain economic mobility initiatives, ensuring participants can pursue
job training, higher education, and financial independence; and expand case management
and support services, including mental health services, financial literacy, and workforce
development. This is a onetime appropriation.
