relating to higher education; appropriating money to implement the University of
Minnesota's Health Sciences Strategic Plan.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; HEALTH SCIENCES STRATEGIC PLAN. new text end

new text begin $5,500,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from
the general fund to the Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota to implement the
University of Minnesota's Health Sciences Strategic Plan at the University of Minnesota
Rochester and to address the critical health care challenges facing Minnesota.
