A bill for an act
relating to transportation; transferring administration of the Environmental
Standards Procurement Task Force grant program to the Department of
Transportation; appropriating money; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section
16B.312, subdivision 6.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 16B.312, subdivision 6, is amended to read:
Subd. 6.
Environmental product declarations; grant program.

Minnesota; or otherwise reduce greenhouse gas emissions output in their operationsnew text end . The

Sec. 2. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin
$500,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of transportation for the Environmental Standards Procurement Task Force grant program
under Minnesota Statutes, section 16B.312, subdivision 6. Notwithstanding Minnesota
Statutes, section 16B.98, the commissioner may use up to two percent of this appropriation
for administrative costs. This appropriation is available until June 30, 2029.
