A bill for an act
 relating to natural resources; appropriating money for groundwater management
areas and comprehensive planning.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin GROUNDWATER MANAGEMENT AREAS AND COMPREHENSIVE
PLANNING; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $1,500,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of natural resources for groundwater management area activities. Of this amount, $1,000,000
is for transfer to the Metropolitan Council for the purposes under Laws 2023, chapter 60,
article 1, section 5, paragraph (f), which provides for the development of a comprehensive
plan for communities in the White Bear Lake area. This is a onetime appropriation and is
available until June 30, 2028.
