A bill for an act
relating to workforce development; appropriating money to the Redemption Project
for workforce development services for adults leaving incarceration and
justice-impacted individuals.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin THE REDEMPTION PROJECT; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant
to the Redemption Project to provide employment and workforce readiness services to adults
leaving incarceration and justice-impacted individuals with programming grounded in core
correctional practices, mentoring, support services, and employment services.
