A bill for an act
relating to public safety; expanding the definition of governmental agency in the
emergency and public safety communications chapter of law; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2024, section 403.02, subdivision 14.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 403.02, subdivision 14, is amended to read:
Subd. 14.
Governmental agency.
"Governmental agency" means new text begin a Tribal agency or

this state that provides or has authority to provide firefighting, police, ambulance, medical,
or other emergency services.
