 relating to economic development; appropriating money for a grant to Al Maa'uun.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; AL MAA'UUN.

new text begin $500,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to
Al Maa'uun, previously known as the North at Work program, for a strategic intervention
program designed to target and connect program participants to meaningful and sustainable
living-wage employment. This is a onetime appropriation.
