relating to workforce development; appropriating money to the Asian Economic
Development Association.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; ASIAN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
ASSOCIATION.

new text begin $1,200,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the workforce development fund to
the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the Asian
Economic Development Association (AEDA), in cooperation with and in support of the
coalition of Minnesota Asian Building Trades Entrepreneurs (MABTE) and related firms
to grow their businesses through training, hiring, and capacity building. This is a onetime
appropriation and is available until June 30, 2027.
